Denmark Wants to Believe

Once again Denmark raises the bar at the Eurovision with an accomplished performance by Niels Brinck and his song Believe Again, co-written by former Boyzone member Ronan Keating. Unfortunately it has next to no chance at the Eurovision.

The Song Contest has long ago ceased to be purely about the quality of the song and its lyrics - being a Television show, the performance is just as important, if not more so. And this is where Niels' group falls down. His Stage Show dispenses with all visual embellishments - no dancers, few background graphics, in fact few visual stimuli at all which leads to boring television. Despite the good song, they will be lucky to progress past the Semi Final.
