An Audience Of One

Jade Ewen, the UK contestant, thinks her first rehearsal was fantastic and the stage setting and size amazed her: “You go on stage, and you see 50 thousand seats before you! This gives you a great feeling!” Jade liked it in Moscow: she says it is her favourite place of those she has ever been to.

The singer said she was keen to achieve the same level of success that Celine Dione had, and she also cited Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Amanda Jackson and Aretha Franklin among her influences.

Jade has appeared in episodes of popular British soap The Bill, but also mentioned an Australian TV series she had appeared in listen. When asked to compare TV work with singing she replied thus listen.

When asked who, in her opinion, her main competitors were, Jade replied that it was Malta, Norway and Spain listen. However, she spoke very warmly about all the participants.

Jade also said that discussed Eurovision with her predecessor and shared the piece of advice that she was given: “Treat the audience as one person, and talk to this person.”

Speaking about her plans, Jade said she is going to finish recording her album and make a music video.
