The Press-conference given by the Next Time from FYR Macedonia featured the twin brothers Stefan Filipovsky on vocals, and Martin Filipovsky on the guitar.According to Stefan, it is their first performance in Russia, because the band is only 11 months old. But this short period was enough for them to become very popular in FYR Macedonia, and the musicians hope that Eurovision will help them to become popular in Europe. “You may be certain – we will make this stage explode”, promised Stefan listen.
Less than a year ago Next Time was just an ordinary “garage band” which played cover versions of famous rock songs, and now they are representing their country at the most prestigious European song contest. Just in a few months they recorded their first album, got more than five awards and made several music videos.
When asked to characterize the style of music they perform, the artists said it was pop-rock, but they are inspired by the rock classics – such as White Snakes, Guns'n'Roses, John Bon Jovi etc. Besides, they continue to perform covers of many famous songs by Lenny Kravits, Robby Williams and others. “We learn from the best”, said Stefan. “Tutors” of the young band include the world-famous opera star Hose Carreras.
